Bourbon Peach Smash

As the hot summer heat settles in around us, it’s time to find a fruity, sweet, and refreshing bourbon cocktail recipe for your sun-filled days. The Bowman Brothers Bourbon Peach Smash is icy, invigorating, and a great way to highlight our favorite summer seasonal fruit. The natural sweetness of the peach complements the tang of the mint you won’t be able to make just one. Hint: leave the skin on the peach to add a rich texture to this oh-so peachy cocktail.



  • 1/2 Peach Cubed, skin on

  • 4-5 Mint Leaves

  • 1 oz. Ginger-Mint Simple Syrup

    • 1/2 Cup Water
    • 1/2 Cup Cane Sugar
    • 1 Stem and Leaves of Mint
    • 1-inch Nob of Ginger, sliced 
  • Ginger Ale, chilled

  • Crushed Ice


  • Ginger-Mint Simple Syrup: Heat all bulleted ingredients until dissolved. Steep 15 minutes. Strain.

  • Muddle peaches, mint, and simple syrup to the bottom of a rocks glass.

  • Add bourbon and fill with crushed ice.

  • Top with ginger ale and stir.

  • Garnish with mint and a peach slice.
