Apple Cinnamon Whiskey Smash

Are you a hard-core Bowman Brothers Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey drinker? Mix up an Apple Cinnamon Whiskey Smash for your new fall favorite! (Hot tip: Make sure you don’t over-muddle your mint — it can become bitter quickly!)



  • 1 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup

    • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
    • 1 cup Water
    • 3 Cinnamon Sticks
    • 2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 oz. Apple Cider

  • Splash Lemon Juice

  • 3 Slices of Apple

  • 6 Mint Leaves

  • Garnish: Cinnamon Stick, Mint Leaf


  • Cinnamon Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, stir together all ingredients. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep with the cinnamon sticks for 10 minutes. Remove cinnamon sticks and store in air tight container in the fridge.

  • Muddle apple slices and mint leaves in the bottom of a shaker. Add remaining ingredients.

  • Fill shaker halfway with ice and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.

  • Strain into glass with ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick and mint leaf.
