FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA – A. Smith Bowman Distillery’s John J. Bowman Single Barrel Virginia Straight Bourbon received the prestigious Double Gold medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Each entry was subject to rounds of blind tastings and individual evaluation on both taste and design by judges, and a Double Gold medal indicates the recipient spirit received Gold medal ratings from every member on the judging panel during the judging process. Additionally, one spirit from the Distillery was awarded a Gold medal, three were awarded Silver medals, and one was awarded a Bronze medal.
