The Man Behind the World’s Best Bourbon
Brian Prewitt has always been one to push the limits. At A. Smith Bowman Distillery, we encourage that to the fullest. With more than 20 years of brewing and distilling expertise, his innovative spirit leads to some of the most unique spirit profiles in the world. Since joining our team in 2013, Brian has successfully experimented with a long list of ingredients and produced a handful of must-have spirits, most notably the World’s Best Bourbon.

David Bock is ready to take Virginia bourbon to a new level. After leading distilling and operations programs at some of the finest distilleries in New Orleans, he now calls Virginia home and leads the A. Smith Bowman Distillery team. With a keen eye for experimentation and product excellence, he has big plans for more unique mash bills, barrel finishes, and other surprises in store for A. Smith Bowman’s experimental series.
