We regularly experiment with mash bills, aging techniques, and production methods to create new bourbons and push the limits of our distilling expertise. Once we’ve explored all of our options, we choose our favorite and begin bottling it up.

Our Abraham Bowman bourbons are rare releases named after the commander of the 8th Virginia Regiment in the American Revolutionary War. Just like Abraham, we aim for greatness with these innovative batches. Each release is produced in limited amounts and exemplifies some of our finest work.

Even though we are most widely known for our award-winning bourbons, A. Smith Bowman Distillery’s small batch rum, gin, and vodka are equally noteworthy. We put the same passion and handcrafted detail into everything we do, including our Deep Run Virginia Vodka, Sunset Hills Virginia Gin, and George Bowman Colonial Era Dark Caribbean Rum.
